San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman finally signed his contract and reported to training camp.
Merriman was just one of a few Chargers players unhappy this offseason with his current contract situation.
He was also one of a few to hold out of training camp, but ended up the first one to give in to the team.
Merriman has struggled to stay healthy and put up the big numbers he did during his first few years in the league. (Read More…)
ESPN.com reports that the San Diego Chargers are on the verge of signing their No. 1 draft pick Ryan Mathews, the team’s only draft choice yet to sign.
Mathews, the 12th overall pick in this year’s draft, starred at running back for the Fresno State Bulldogs in 2009. He’s expected to help shoulder the load in the backfield following the departure of LaDainian Tomlinson. (Read More…)
